Peer Review Process – International Journal of The Quintessential Journal (IJQJ)
Initial Editorial Review
Once the manuscript is submitted, the journal’s editorial team performs an initial review. This stage typically involves a quick assessment of the manuscript’s scope, relevance to the journal, and overall quality.
- Editorial Assessment: If the manuscript fits within the journal’s scope, it moves forward to the next stage. If not, it may be rejected at this point.
- Desk Rejection: In some cases, a manuscript might be rejected immediately without peer review due to poor quality, lack of novelty, or irrelevant content.
Peer Review
If the manuscript passes the initial editorial review, it is sent to independent experts in the field for peer review. This is a crucial stage in ensuring the quality and validity of the research.
- Types of Peer Review: Our journal follow double blind peer review policy.
- Review Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, clarity, methodological rigor, significance of findings, and contribution to the field. They often recommend one of three decisions:
- Accept
- Revise and resubmit
- Reject
Revision and Resubmission
Author should revise the manuscript according to the feedback of reviewers and resubmit it. Revisions might involve rewriting sections, conducting additional experiments, or addressing reviewers’ concerns.
- Major vs. Minor Revisions: Major revisions may require substantial changes, whereas minor revisions could be related to improving clarity or addressing small issues.
- Reevaluation: After the author resubmits the revised manuscript, it is evaluated to check if the necessary changes are made or not.
